Hunterline's Barn Red Weathering Mix is alcohol based and works really well when dry brushed over a light gray base for a weathered red barn effect. The benefits of using an alcohol based stain is fast drying times, which helps prevent ˜warping" of the wood; and it's easy to dilute the mix for varying degrees of the color. A bottle of common 70% isopropyl alcohol is all you need! Works just as well on plastic, paper, cardboard or hydrocal and cleans up with simple soap and water.
